Treatment
The Treatment Committee has one purpose: to carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous to alcoholics who are in treatment facilities. The activities of this committee are based on and governed by the twelve traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. We are part of the Area 72 Treatment Facility Committee, and work on a local scale to better serve the 5 districts within the Eastside Intergroup.
One of the more important activities of the Hospital and Treatment Facilities Committee is the Bridging the Gap program. This is a nationwide network of AA members who help individuals find their way to their first AA meetings, upon their release from treatment facilities.
